PAA provides opportunities for PSA Student Members to be published in the quarterly FIAP News magazine and to submit images for potential inclusion in the PAA/USA submission to the FIAP Biennial competition.
Students Members can be Published in the FIAP News
PSA Youth members have the opportunity to represent the USA and have their images published in the Youth Photographer’s Gallery of the FIAP News, the quarterly online magazine of the International Federation of Photographic Art (FIAP): https://www.fiap.net/en/news. Download a recent issue of the FIAP News and go to the Youth Photographer’s Gallery.
• Photographer must be under 25 years of age as of the closing date for the FIAP News
edition to which the photos are being submitted.
• Each photographer should submit 5 photos (three would be published).
• Photos are to be 1024 pixels on the longest dimension, 96ppi, sRGB color space and saved as the highest quality jpgs.
• There is no set subject. Images can be color or monochrome.
• Strictly no nude photography.
• All components of the final photo, and modifications of the final photo, must be the work of the photographer, e.g., no clipart, no other person to work on the photo, no photos that have AI created components.
• Photographers under the age of 18 must have the consent of their parent or legal guardian to send photographs for possible publication in the FIAP News.
• Photographers must send the following with the photographs:
a. Photographer’s name
b. Photographer’s date of birth and age
c. A title for each photo
d. Photographers who are 18 years of age or older must sign and submit the adult “Author’s Agreement Form” - download
e. If the photographer is under 18 years of age, an “Author’s Agreement Form for Minors” must be signed by a parent or legal guardian - download
• Ensure that any recognizable people featured in the photos, that they (or their parent/guardian, if they are under 18) have given their permission for the photo to be published in the FIAP News.
• The photos, plus the required information and the applicable Author's Agreement form, are to be sent to: Joanne Stolte, FIAP Liaison Officer for the USA, jbstolte@aol.com as soon as possible. The first three PSA Youth Members to send images will have their images submitted for the next issue, the next three to send will be submitted for the issue after that, and so on each quarter.
• The photographer’s name, age, country, and the title of the photo will be published with the selected photos.
Students Members can submit images for the 2027 FIAP Biennial

Include the photographer’s name, age, date of birth, city, state, and PSA Membership Number.
• Make the file name for all photos: the image title - the author’s name
For example: The Red Barn - Mary Johnson
• All images sent by student members for consideration will be reviewed and may potentially be part of the PAA submission in the two categories of the 2027 FIAP Biennial.
